Hybrid dryer

• Combined technology First, the air is cooled (refrigerated dryer section), which removes most of the water. Then, the air is passed through an adsorbent material (adsorption dryer section), which removes the remaining moisture.
• Low dew point Hybrid dryers can achieve very low dew points (down to -40°C or lower), which is necessary for sensitive industrial applications where even a small amount of moisture can cause corrosion or damage to tooling.
• Energy efficiency Because the refrigerant dryer does most of the “heavy lifting” of moisture removal, the desiccant dryer section has less work to do. This significantly saves energy on regeneration (drying) of the desiccant compared to a traditional desiccant dryer.
• Usage They are typically used in industries requiring high air quality (class 2-4 according to ISO 8573-1), for example, within pharmaceutical production, the food industry, or painting.

COMPLAINTDRY from OMEGA is designed for continuous separation of water vapour from compressed air, which reduces the dew point.

Drying consists of two steps. The refrigerated dryer first removes most of the water from the air, reducing the dew point down to PDP +3°C.

A further reduction in the dew point is achieved with the adsorption dryer. The dryer is simpler to operate than a conventional heat-generating adsorption dryer, whilst the average compressed air loss is only up to 4.61 TP3T.
