The principle of a turbocharger is like the jet engine on an aeroplane. It starts up at a small initial pressure, after which it compresses large amounts of air or nitrogen up to a maximum of 20 barg.
If you are focused on your costs and need to compress more than 25 m³/min, you should consider calculating a solution with turbo compressors.
This also applies even if you do not have a requirement for oil-free compressed air. Often, the maintenance costs for after-treatment equipment are so high that it can be worthwhile to compress with oil-free compressors.
